What is Profhilo?

So, what is profhilo? Profhilo is a skin treatment that can show dramatic results in just two visits.

First launched in Italy in February 2015, Profhilo relies on only 5 injections per visit, thanks to the slow-release treatments used and their ability to diffuse easily.

As a result, Profhilo treatment is often described as more comfortable than other treatments, and with only 2 sessions required to see results, it’s no surprise why it became a worldwide phenomenon.

How does Profhilo work?

Profhilo uses purified, natural hyaluronic acid at two differing molecular weights to achieve its incredible results.

The two weights (low and high) achieve different effects, with the low-weight hyaluronic acid hydrating the skin and stimulating the tissues underneath, while the higher weight treatment stimulates collagen and elastin.

Between the two weights, they restore lost elasticity and create fuller, softer skin for up to 6 months after treatment.

Only two treatment sessions are required for Profhilo, and each one requires only 5 injections.

Thanks to the excellent diffusing ability of the purified natural hyaluronic acid ha used in this treatment, small injections at key sites will stimulate the skin all over the face and leave you looking and feeling younger and more vibrant!

What areas of the face does Profhilo work?

Profhilo is generally administered onto five key injection sites on the face:

The sides of your face
The lines around your mouth
Your nasolabial folds

Does Profhilo Really Work?

Profhilo is a slightly different type of treatment from the dermal filler kind of treatments many people often opt for, and different too from other common injectables.

Profhilo has been designed specifically for what is known as as ‘skin bio remodelling’.

Due to the fact it is made from high quality hyaluronic acid created from natural bio fermentation, it is an exceptionally effective treatment.

However, as a guide, and considering that it usually takes around 2 treatments to get the most commonly desired results, you can expect to pay at least £800.

Who Will I See During My Consultation?

Linia’s london-based skin clinic is run by the Medical Director, Dr Simon Zokaie, BSc MBChB MRCP.

Qualifying from the University of Manchester in 2003, he then underwent his medical training in London. He gained membership to the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and subsequently spent over four years training in dermatology.

He has practised cosmetic dermatology since and offers his patients a variety of non and minimally invasive treatments to improve the appearance of their skin and to minimise the visible effects of premature skin ageing.

Dr Zokaie will listen to your needs during the consultation and, depending on the best course of action for you, will recommend a suitable treatment. These may include but aren’t limited to topical products, anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers to add volume to parts of the skin, including the lips and cheeks, and lasers, which tighten the skin on the face, jawline and submental area to smooth away wrinkles.

Dr Zokaie is passionate about standards in his practice and ensuring that he is at the forefront of the latest and most effective methods. Along with his day-to-day skin clinic work, he also attends as many conferences and meetings as he can.
