In the concluding part of this article (part 3 can be found here), we discuss device treatments (ultrasound, laser and radiofrequency) that can be used in the battle against facial ageing!

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound Treatment (HI-FU)
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound improves your skin’s elasticity, helping to tighten loose areas and lift heavy ones.
It works by stimulating collagen production, making your skin revitalised!
It can be used to tighten, tone or lift your face, neck or chest (or all three!)
The process is simple and relatively painless. Your doctor will deliver the correct amount of ultrasound for you to the required area, ensuring perfect levels of stimulation are reached to produce the desired skin rejuvenation.
As a rule of thumb, clients only require one treatment, but your doctor will discuss this with you as it’s dependent on your body’s natural ability to produce collagen, its biological response to ultrasound and the level of laxity your skin has.
So, in some cases, you may need another treatment 4 weeks after the initial one.
Results are generally noticeable 6 to 12 weeks post-treatment with further improvements at the 6-month mark. Some clients even report visible effects after two years!
As your body naturally ages, it’s a good plan to book additional annual top-ups for maintenance.
Radiofrequency Treatment
This is a non-surgical skin tightening treatment.
Radiofrequency is used to heat the subdermal tissue, melting fat and tightening saggy skin. It targets the areas that require the treatment.
The heating process increases collagen and elastin production, giving you tightened and lifted skin.
It is suitable for people of all ages, and results can last up to 4 years after just one treatment!
Overall, these procedures will reduce sagging in the jowls and neck, lessen wrinkles and fine lines and improve your skin tone and texture, resulting in smoother and more youthful skin!
IPL and Laser Rejuvenation
Ideal for 30 to 50 year olds, this monthly facial will keep your skin looking young and fresh.
The treatment clears out your pores and uses intense pulse light technology to speed up the process.
Each treatment takes 40 minutes, and then you will need 12 hours of downtime and to stay out of direct sunlight for 14 days. We will provide you with a post-procedure kit, including factor 40 SPF.
To see results, we advise clients to begin with three treatments and then assess their progress.
Fractional Laser Treatment
Fractional Laser Treatment can be used to treat facial lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin, skin pigmentation associated with photoaging and surgical and acne scars.
It’s suitable for all skin types and ages, but techniques vary depending on the skin type, the client’s age, sun exposure and the area of the body being treated.
Fractional Laser Treatment works by targeting the epidermis and dermis. A laser beam that is divided into thousands of tiny but deep columns is delivered into the skin. These are called Microthermal Treatment Zones (MTZs). In each MTZ, old epidermal pigmented cells are expelled, and the penetration of collagen into the dermis causes a reaction that promotes new collagen production.
This process means the laser treats the affected area intensively, and the surrounding area of healthy tissue remains intact and helps heal the wound. This “fractional” treatment gives faster healing results than if all the tissue in the treated area was subject to the laser.
As you can see from this article, there are numerous solutions to the problem of facial ageing.
Dr. Zokaie is moving away from the traditional concept of correcting single-face areas to achieve the best results. There is an urgent need to examine the face thoroughly as a whole. Clients deserve an experienced doctor with an aesthetic eye who can treat them individually and create bespoke procedure plans to give them their desired, natural look.
