Although they aren’t particularly rare, skin tags can vary in colour, shape and size. They are soft features that tend to occur on the neck, armpit or groin and despite not being overly obvious – they can affect our self-confidence.
Consequently, The Linia Skin Clinic have generated skin tag removal treatments. The harmless lesions are formed as a result of ageing, they tend to be prevalent in obese people or people who have gained or lost a lot of weight.
Skin tag removal freezing is also known as cryotherapy. The skin tag can be removed using this treatment because it’s easy: it destroys the cell. The process offers a pain-free experience and is quick, making it convenient and efficient! Once the tag has been frozen, the blood supply will be blocked and the skin tag will fall off. Within a few weeks’ time, the area that the skin tag was in, will be smoother than ever before!
Other treatment includes shave excision this is where a local anaesthetic is provided and a razor is used to shave the lesion off. Alternatively, diathermy, uses electrical current and a needle, this works in contrast to freezing, with the lesion being heated up to cut and remove the skin tag.
